Vladimir Dobes

Focuses on changing paradigm in education and in business the Czech Republic

Vladimir Dobes is the co-founder of Donum Felix, the flagship free democratic school in the Czech Republic. He studied free democratic schools in Europe and Israel and he initiated establishment of the association of democratic schools in the Czech Republic. He is assisting democratic schools in capacity building using among others Non Violent Communication or Sociocracy.

Vladimir Dobes works also as an expert in Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). He worked as lecturer and provider of technical assistance and research for industry, governments and academia in the field of SCP in more than 30 countries including design and management of large international projects.

Vladimir Dobes graduated of the Czech University of Technology (Mechanical Engineer, 1985) and of the University of Amsterdam (Master of Environmental Management, 1993). He is also research associate at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at the Lund University in Sweden (since 2000). He undertook a long-term course in creative pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (2013).
